Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how BeepBoop Studios LLC ("BeepBoop", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use our products including the Level: Adult app and the website at leveladult.app.
What we collect
- Account information — email address, username, first name, the avatar configuration you choose, and your selected major / professor in the app.
- Usage data — quests completed, lessons finished, courses collected, streaks, XP, level, and other in-app progress needed for the gamification mechanics to work.
- Device data — basic device identifiers (browser, OS) and a push-notification token if you enable notifications.
- Subscription data — managed by Stripe (web), Apple App Store, or Google Play depending on platform. We never see or store your full payment card number.
- Crash + diagnostic data — anonymized crash reports via Sentry to help us fix bugs.
- Product analytics — event-level data on which screens you visit and which features you use (e.g. "lesson started", "paywall shown", "friend added"), session duration, and a sampled subset of session replays (approximately 5% of sessions) so we can diagnose UI bugs we can't reproduce. Processed by PostHog. We don't capture form inputs, passwords, or message content; replay masks personal data. You can opt out by enabling Do Not Track in your browser, which our analytics tool respects.
How we use it
- Operate the app — saving your progress, syncing across devices.
- Send transactional notifications (e.g. quest reminders, when you opt in).
- Identify and fix bugs.
- Understand how the product is used in aggregate so we can improve it (which lessons get abandoned, which features go unused, where users get stuck).
- Process subscription payments via the platforms above.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't run advertising inside the app.
- We don't share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
Service providers we use
- Supabase — backend storage and authentication.
- Stripe — web subscription processing.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — mobile subscription processing.
- RevenueCat — cross-platform subscription state management. Stores your subscription status (active / trial / expired) and the receipt identifier from the store, so the app knows whether to unlock premium features. Does not store payment card data.
- Sentry — anonymous crash reporting.
- PostHog — product analytics, including event tracking and sampled session replay (~5%). Hosted in the US. See "Product analytics" under "What we collect" for what gets sent and how to opt out.
- Vercel — hosting.
Each of these handles your data under their own privacy policies, in line with industry-standard security and data-handling practices.
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the app. This permanently removes your profile, progress, and inventory from our database. Subscription cancellation, where applicable, is managed via Stripe, the App Store, or Google Play depending on where you purchased.
You can also request deletion by emailing support@leveladult.com.
Children
Level: Adult is intended for users 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, please contact us and we'll delete the account.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Email support@leveladult.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current revision.
